Islam’s Greatest Stories Of Love! A Review!
“Islam’s Greatest Stories of Love is an extraordinary exploration of love’s boundless power to heal, inspire, and transform. At the heart of the film is Ariella, a brilliant young Muslim scholar whose life is upended by the tragic loss of her father. Shattered but determined, she embarks on a bold journey to uncover answers to life’s most profound questions: What is love? Can it endure across time and adversity? And how do we rebuild after losing it? Along the way, Ariella is captivated by five astonishing tales from the Islamic tradition — stories that redefine love’s meaning.” ~ credit UPF.TV
I was sent the link to this documentary by a friend a week ago, and with the first few minutes of the documentary I was engrossed, captivated and completely lost in the world of Ariella. The cinematography is beautiful. The stories are rich!
Listening to the story of our beloved Prophet S and Khadeeja always brings tears to my eyes and this was no different!
I did not know Ella Collin’s story, even though we talk about Malcol X a lot, it is surprising that the woman who superseded him in Islam, hajj and advised him, became his pillar and support system, is hardly known in the Muslim circles!
Another story that mesmerized me was Taj Mahal and Shah Jahan. It seemed more of a love story between Shah Jahan and His Creator through Taj Mahal than between Shah and his wife the way it was described in the film with the carefully arranged inscriptions from the Quran. This film makes me want to do more research on this aspect of the Taj Mahal!
I also loved Rumi’s ending of Layla Majnun and how everything comes together at the end!
Don’t wait and go watch!
